LIVE STREAMING

Your agent writes. myAethel streams it live.

myaethel-mcp is a free companion tool that lets MCP-compatible agents (like Claude) stream Markdown documents into your workspace. Text appears with a typewriter reveal in Read mode, tables form row by row — almost instantly on the same Wi-Fi, and across your iPhone and iPad through iCloud Drive. When the stream ends, you keep a plain Markdown file.

How it works

1

Install the MCP server

Download the signed and notarized universal macOS binary below and register it with Claude Code in one line.

2

Open your workspace in myAethel

Pick the folder that receives streams. The default is the MyAethel folder in iCloud Drive — open the same folder on iPhone or iPad and the stream follows you there.

3

Ask your agent to write

Say “send the report to myAethel” and the document opens by itself, writing live. While the LIVE badge shows, the document stays read-only and protected.

Install

Unzip the download, move the binary somewhere stable, and register it with Claude Code.

mkdir -p ~/.local/bin
mv ~/Downloads/myaethel-mcp ~/.local/bin/myaethel-mcp
chmod +x ~/.local/bin/myaethel-mcp

claude mcp add myaethel -- ~/.local/bin/myaethel-mcp

To use a different workspace folder, set the MYAETHEL_WORKSPACE environment variable or the workspace value in ~/.config/myaethel-mcp/config.json. It must be the same folder the myAethel app has open.

Requirements

macOS (universal: Apple silicon & Intel) · myAethel macOS 1.0.4+ / iOS 1.0.3+ · an MCP client such as Claude Code

Same network = real time

On the same Wi-Fi the stream arrives in about a second over the local network (Bonjour). macOS asks once for local-network access. Off-network, it falls back to iCloud Drive automatically.

Your files stay yours

No accounts, no telemetry, no server of ours. The output is a plain .md file in your workspace, and content lives only in your iCloud.
